Wonderful reading!

At the moment, we have been doing some reading responses. We are very good at these; you read the story twice, and then follow the response sheet's instuctions. There are other sheets that you use to explain the characters, what happens in the story, and other things. The great thing is, that there are other levels for eveyone, because we are on different levels.

look at Gemma (left) Lundyn (right) and Casey! (far right) They are true reading stars!
The reading response is a fun activity for most, and does help you really think about the text in the story. The things it makes you do help you to understand the characters and their characteristics, how the story develops, and I think it really helps you get in the character's heads, but also the Author's.

Our weaving art.

Lately, we have been doing some weaving art. It looks so detailed and hard, yet it really is as easy as just making a picture, and weaving skewers through it. Look at them!

These could be made by colouring them in using pastel, with hot or cold colours. We had to think about the colours, and what ones would go best with them.

We could also use diy, which had a limited amount of colours.
Once we had created the picturees, we folded them in half and cut slits in them so that we could weave the skewers inbetween them.
